This album of original and classic Brazilian instrumentals was recorded in the spring of 2018 in anticipation of the second tour for the group Brazilian Strings Trio. The three of us met in Brazil in 2015 when we were all still living there and by sheer coincidence, we all moved to the U.S. for different reasons within a few months of each other in 2016. Ted moved to Los Angeles, Nando moved to Santa Monica, and I moved back to my home town of Asheville, NC. We did a tour in spring 2017 which went so well that our patrons begged us to come back the following spring. We happily obliged but came more prepared the next time... with this album. We're pretty pleased with the result and hope you are too :) Released May 4, 2018 Brazilian Strings Trio is: Andrew Finn Magill: violin, octave violin Ted Falcon: bandolim (Brazilian mandolin), violin Nando Duarte: 7-string guitar, 6-string guitar, cavaquinho, percussion Featuring guest artists: Marcelo Caldi: Accordion (track 5) Katia Moraes: female Voiceover (track 2) Carlos Cesar Motta: percussion (tracks 3, 5, and 10) Clarice Cast: percussion (tracks 6,7) Production: Tracking, editing, and mixing: Nando Duarte Mastering: Jason Blum (Sigil Media) Music Production: Nando Duarte Executive Producer: Ted Falcon Album Artwork: Emilio Rangel
